Can a succulent be propagated from the stem?

I have one that has stretched a lot. I'm not very good with plants and I learn by trial and error. I noticed this recently and since then I can't stop wondering whether I should intervene or not.

Yes, cut off the top, let the cut dry for 2–3 days, and plant it. The base will also produce new shoots. Over time I learned that touching it less usually gives better results. Something similar happened to me and in the end I decided to wait a bit longer before doing anything.
